For all those that follow me, which isn't very many now I have started my new business. I have the name and I am working on the website. I catered my first wedding yesterday, made my first wedding cake, frosted brownies and chocolate caramel pretzels. It was an undertaking and I am learning what I need to do better. It was a great learning opportunity and looking forward to many more in the future. My website will be coming soon it is currently under construction. I am very excited for this new chapter in my life and hope you will join me for the ride!!!!

Update

I have been giving a lot of serious thought to starting my business once I graduate from College. My sister and I were talking this morning, and we are in the process of putting together a business plan and will hopefully execute what needs to be done soon. I am going to start small and get thing going word of mouth. I will be changing the name of the business as I will be doing a lot more than just cupcakes. To start it will be cake balls (my new obsession) cupcakes and cookies. If there is a special need I will be able to take care of that also. Thank you to all those that have been supportive in this venture with me, it is hard not thinking of all the negative things that can happen. I am looking forward to working hard and making this a thriving business. Who knows maybe you will see me on cupcakes wars or the Cake challenge one day!!!!

Lilly's 8th bday

It has been while since I have posted anything or really made any cupcakes. I apologize to my 3 followers... :) I had the opportunity to make cupcakes for a dear family friend. It was the first time I have made them for someone other than family. It was a lot of hard work but fun. I will be doing another wedding in July, which I am excited for.

Halloween Fun

My best friend was moving to Utah, her favorite cupcakes are Fun-fetti. So these are Fun-fetti cupcakes with buttercream frosting.

Bridal Shower

A good friend of mine is getting married next weekend. We had her bridal shower today. 9/17/09. I made buttercream frosting in the colors of her wedding. (pink and brown) It is on chocolate mini cupcakes.

A good friend of our family is in town visiting, and was giving me a hard time that He has not had one of my cupcakes. So I made some BYU cupcakes. They are chocolate, chocolate chip. Also I just made some, what a good friend of mine called Dr. Seuss cupcakes. We also played around with the photography. I would like to thank Toby for taking the pictures, I think they are great.

These were made for a customer Boise State Broncos. It was nice to just have the creative juices flow. The field that we call Smurf Turf here, was made of cupcakes, it is a cupcake cake. The others, the bronco is stenciled with chocolate. It was the first time I made my own frosting. I am still experimenting with that, but again I love doing it!!!

Sophia's 3rd Birthday

My nieces 3rd Birthday was on Friday 8/7. I made cupcakes as usual, but this time I used a mold that my mom has from William Sonoma of bugs. It was fun to decorate, but the cupcakes didn't come out as great as I would have liked them. Apparently they have to be a bit more dense for them not to fall apart. I guess I am always learning.

This was for my wards game night, we usually play board games and I thought checkers would be ideal.

Spring is in the air

I have been spending a lot of time at the dentist lately. My younger sister works for the one I go to, so we were showing him the cupcakes that I made. We also showed the ladies that work the front desk. So for my sisters office meeting she asked me to make some cupcakes so that they could see them. (they also have children that have parties with cupcakes!)
